A Major Reinvestment in the Community

Most South Florida private club communities have shifted from stagnant membership to long waiting lists due to unprecedented relocation and economic growth.

It would be easy for The Club at Ibis to sit back and enjoy the change. After all, it’s the world’s only private country club community with three Nicklaus family-designed courses, and the range is roamed by legendary TV instructor Martin Hall, who hosted 430 teaching shows on Golf Channel.

Moreover, Ibis’ tennis facilities are such that they recently attracted Grand Slam champions Roger Federer, Ivan Lendl and Michael Chang to stop by for practice.

Instead, Ibis has taken an aggressive approach: Its membership recently approved a progressive $63 million Capital Investment Plan to keep the West Palm Beach-based club as one of Florida’s premier private club communities.

“This plan positions Ibis to continue leading the private club industry,” said General Manager/COO Stephen J. LoGiudice. “The investments being made will strengthen long-term property values, enhance the member experience and ensure Ibis remains one of the finest club communities in the country.”

The Capital Investment Plan focuses on modernizing and enhancing key facilities, expanding and improving member experiences while keeping a long-term view on the competitiveness of the community in a fierce high-end club market in South Florida.

Among the Major Enhancements Planned

  • • 10,000-square-foot expansion and renovation of the fitness center with covered outdoor fitness lawn
  • • 12 new pickleball courts (covered & uncovered)
  • • Padel courts
  • • 11,000-square-foot luxury spa with whirlpools and saunas
  • • Casual dining venue with patios, fire pits, and indoor/outdoor bar
  • • Community building with business center and activity rooms
  • • New bocce ball courts
  • • Enhanced children’s playground and dog park
  • • Renovation of the Tradition Course by Nicklaus Design

“We believe this investment will deliver must-have amenities to ensure best-in-class experiences for our members with a focus on revitalizing the fitness center, spa, Tradition Course, racquet facilities and dining,” Ibis Board President Michael Friedenberg said. “This marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our club as we shape the future of Ibis.”
